Everyone has an extremely vivid and pleasant memory of where they went as a child to get their favorite candy – whether it was the corner store or their Grandma’s candy dish. Powell’s Sweet Shoppe are a nostalgic re-creation of that classic and bygone era.
On the surface we sell ice cream and sweets, but you don’t have to stand in the Shoppe too long before you realize that what we really offer are memories. “I feel like a kid in a candy store!” and “I haven’t seen that since I was a kid!” are far and away the most common things we hear. And that is precisely our goal. We want to walk our customers down memory lane and remind them of good things and good times.

Welcome to Powell’s Sweet Shoppe, Paso Robles, California.We’re located at 840 11th street, across from Park Cinema in Paso Robles. We feature an assortment of nostalgic candy and toys, flavored popcorn, gelato, novelty items, and sodas. Stop by and sample our daily offerings. You’re in for a treat! Táo Gia Lộc (hay còn gọi là táo chua) là tên gọi của giống táo xuất xứ từ huyện Gia Lộc, tỉnh Hải Dương là giống táo nội địa, dễ trồng, dễ thích nghi với mọi điều kiện khí hậu và thổ nhưỡng ở Việt Nam. Táo Gia Lộc rất được người nông dân ưa chuộng vì ít sâu bệnh, dễ chăm sóc, lại mau cho thu hoạch, đầu năm trồng là cuối năm đã có quả bói rồi.
Tuy gọi là táo chua, nhưng táo Gia Lộc lại có vị ngọt thanh mát, quả có hình trái xoan, khi chín có màu vàng tươi, quả to, trọng lượng đạt 25-30g/quả, táo chín có mùi rất thơm nên làm nguyên liệu chế biến siro, nước quả hay làm rượu quả táo rất tốt.
Giống táo Gia Lộc rất sai quả, năng suất cao và ổn định, nhiều vùng trồng táo ra quả 2 lần trong năm: táo chiêm quả chín vào tháng 8, 9 và táo mùa quả chín vào tháng 12, 1. Cây 3-5 năm cho thu hoạch 60-100kg quả/cây.
Ở nước ta, táo trồng ở phía Bắc và Nam. Nhiệt độ thích hợp từ 25-320C. Táo có thể trồng trên nhiều loại đất nhưng thích hợp đất thịt pha cát, phù sa ven sông, đủ ẩm, pH từ 5-7. 2
